A new sloop at the Carriacou shipyard
Under a large hangar open to the sea in Carriacou, a 46-foot hull is taking shape. The boat is called Windjammer. The construction is being carried out by Callistus Enoe, also known as "Cal"«.
Cal is the son of the shipwright Alwyn Enoe. In 2015, he had already built Free in St Barth, the first sloop of a new generation of shipwrights.
Windjammer belongs to Piero Zipoli, who has financed and housed the project since its launch in 2024. The Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique supports the project.
A training boat
Windjammer is not just a boat. It's also a training project for the Carriacou Boatbuilding School. On this hull, the know-how of the old guard is being passed on to a new generation.

A skittle from Guyana
The keel is carved from greenheart, a very hard wood from Guyana. The frames are made of local wood.

Early 2027: Heading for Germany
Windjammer is scheduled to be launched in early 2027. The sloop is then expected to sail to Europe.
It will be presented at a boat show in Germany. The aim is to showcase Carriacou's expertise and to secure new orders for the shipyard and the school.
