In 2023, Caribbean Compass reported that Benson owned three sloops: Power Surge, Power Play, and Glacier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Discover its owner and family: <a href=\"\/en\/charpentiers\/famille-patrice\/\">The Patrice family<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">August 2023: A filmed launch at Windward<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During the 2023 Carriacou Regatta, the launch of Power Surge in Windward was filmed. On August 6, 2023, a visitor shared the video in a Carriacou Facebook group, under the title &quot;Carriacou Regatta Boat Launch Drama &amp; Beauty of Power Surge for Latest Annual Race&quot;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She recounts witnessing a traditional launch for the regatta live and describes it as a truly unique experience. The video is no longer available on YouTube, so it&#039;s unclear whether it involved a new boat or a relaunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Carriacou Regatta 2023: Third from Windward to Hillsborough<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On August 5, 2023, Power Surge will start the island tour with Glacier and Power Play, the two other boats of Benson Patrice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following day, during the race of large and small decked sloops between Windward and Hillsborough, Power Surge finished third, behind Glacier and Windward Pride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What remains to be found<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The year of construction, the shipwright, the length, and the fate of the boat after Hurricane Beryl in July 2024 remain unknown.
